JBL Tune 130NC features

Design

The overall design is compact and simple. JBL has used plastic as the building material, but its quality isn’t less anyway. The charging case has a matte finish design, and you will get a premium feeling while touching it. The earbuds are oval-shaped and look nice.

The white LED indicators (which generally indicate the charging status) on the front-side of the charging case are also standard. On the back-side, a USB-type C port has been integrated smartly. To match the design theme, the design of the earbuds is also simple. On earbuds, the LED indicators are blue, which looks so pretty.

Comfort and fit

The JBL Tune 130NC’s oval-shaped design (also known as the "Dot" design), is especially designed for more comfort and more bass-boosted sound. The style cinches your eardrums tightly and comfortably, providing greater depth in bass output, isolation from background noises, and comfort, allowing you to hear in joy all day.

So, if you are gyming, running, or whatever you are doing, it doesn’t matter. The oval-shaped earbuds will fit snugly in your ears and provide a lot of comfort.

Weight distribution

Along with the earbuds the charging case is very handy and you can easily carry it anywhere. But remember that it’s much slippery and it isn’t so light-weight.

JBL has officially stated that the earbud is 5.7g per pc (11.4 g combined)/0.012 lbs per pc (0.024 lbs combined) and the charging case is 40.4g/0.087 lbs.

Sound and noise

JBL has stated that you can enjoy every pulsing beat with JBL Tune 130NC. Really, it is. This TWS earbud has 10 mm drivers, which can incredibly boost the bass sound. Besides bass boosting, it has no complaints about sound distortion. All audio terms are perfectly balanced.

Besides, there are equalizer features on the JBL app. Therefore, you can customize the audio according to your needs. Again, the earbud can create a perfect noise-free environment for clear music and calls because of the true adaptive noise cancellation feature.

Battery-life

You can enjoy almost 40 hours of playtime (10 hours in earbuds and another 30 hours in the charging case) with a single charge. Again, with noise canceling on, you can enjoy up to 32 hours of playtime; with BT on and ANC off, you get up to 10 hours of playtime; and with BT on and ANC on, you get up to 8 hours of playtime.

However, JBL has used Lithium-ion polymer (70mAh/3.85V) for the earbuds battery and in the charging case Lithium-ion polymer (750mAh/3.7V) battery.

Power and charging

Never be concerned about charging time. With just 10 minutes of charging, you can enjoy more than 2 hours of playtime. JBL officially stated that the JBL Tune 130NC TWS comes with a 5V/1A power supply. In the box's content you will find a USB type-C charging cable. But the negative point is that it doesn’t support wireless charging.
However, the charging time is only 2 hours (from empty to full), which is the same as other wireless earbuds at this price. But I think it's quite impressive for a regular user. Overall, I think that the charging speed is decent.

Hands free calling

While using JBL Tune 130NC, if you suddenly get a call, don’t be anxious, just tap the touch button on the earbud. If the earbud is connected to your phone, the call will be automatically received and you can continue to talk.

Touch and voice control

As with the other wireless earbuds in this price segment, the JBL Tune 130NC also has touch and voice control features. Both the controls are smooth to operate and there are no complaints with the controls. Moreover, I liked the voice control as it perfectly recognizes my voice and performs actions at once.

App customization

The best thing I like is that you can customize every single function with the JBL app. You can just download the JBL app and connect it to your JBL Tune 130NC and easily customize all the features according to your needs. The app interface is very simple and user-friendly. Therefore, I liked the app's customization more than any other features.

Water-proof

JBL Tune 130NC has been officially IPX4 certified. That means it is resistant to water, dust, and sweat. As a result, a few water drops will not be a problem, but never test its water resistance in deep water. Besides, the charging case isn’t water-proof at all. Keep that in mind!

Pros

  1. Compact, handy and easy to carry
  2. Google fast pair supported
  3. Decent sound with zero noise
  4. 40 hours of long playtime
  5. IPX4 certification

Cons

  1. Doesn’t support wireless charging
  2. Not so light-weight
  3. Hardly suitable for pro gamers

Final Thoughts

JBL Tune 130NC TWS reviews can help you find the right specs. If you are thinking of buying the headphones, I think this post can help you make a happy purchase. However, according to me, the JBL Tune 130NC is a standard and symphonic earphone. It can’t meet the criteria of being a pro gamer in some terms. Lastly, I would like to say, if you need a decent wireless earbud with good build quality, you can decide to buy it.
